ART CONSULTING
As an architect and interior designer with an eye for art history, Thomas Mang curates works that enhance any space, both atmospherically and economically.
The fusion of architecture and interior design takes on another dimension with carefully selected works of art: each piece tells a story; it anchors journeys, reflects encounters, and recalls special moments in life. In this way, the art object becomes an expression of individual values, a sounding board for the personality of its owner.
Frieze, Art Basel, TEFAF
As an art lover, Thomas Mang attends international events such as Frieze London, Art Basel, and TEFAF in Maastricht to discover works by established artists and newcomers alike. He also enjoys browsing antique markets in New York, Paris, and Rome, always on the lookout for that special objet trouvé and unseen rarities.
During the planning stage, the works, sculptures, or decorative pieces are integrated into the spatial concept at an early stage: the lines, light, and materiality of the architecture form the stage on which the art unfolds its effect and at the same time represents a discreet portfolio.
When architecture and art meet on equal terms, spaces full of soul are created. THOMAS MANG Studio combines a sense of perfection with far-sighted investment logic. Harmonious, individual, and precisely thought out… down to the last detail.
THOMAS MANG X RUBEN BENJAMIN
Munich-based artist Ruben Benjamin works at the intersection of painting and sculpture.
Light, materiality, and perception enter into a complex dialogue—his works are created through the superimposition and condensation of pigments, whose spatial depth and luminosity dissolve the boundary between surface and object.
“You simply want to touch the overlapping color compositions and relief-like surfaces by Ruben Benjamin. The artist’s small- and large-format paintings can be seen internationally, from Miami to Seoul.”
