NICE SETTING

Ruben Benjamin and Thomas Mang are collaborating on a piece of art and architecture.

Munich-based artist Ruben Benjamin blends the concepts of painting and sculpture in his three-dimensional mixed media works.

From the very first glance, Thomas Mang was fascinated by the expansive effect that unfolds in Benjamin’s art.

This gave rise to the idea of creating an extraordinary setting for the works—embraced by cashmere from the Piedmontese fabric manufacturer Loro Piana Interiors.

The collaboration was presented at the end of October 2025 in Ruben Benjamin’s studio in Munich. On display is the work “Everything in the right place” from 2025; acrylic on wood, framed in cashmere.

Art that transforms space

For Ruben Benjamin, who has already exhibited in Miami and Seoul and has been on show with Damien Hirst and Lars Eidinger, this is an opportunity to forge a deeper connection with architecture and interior design.

For Thomas Mang, whose philosophy promotes the fusion of architecture and interiors, the opportunity to incorporate a visually tactile element into his work.

“Rubens’ art transforms the space,” says Mang, “almost making it breathe.”
